Melt Pressure Gauges

Melt Pressure Gauges from Cyronix are totally mechanical devices. They offer ease of installation and maintenance. In addition these gauges are ideally suited to processors who require only visual indication of melt pressure. Gauges are available in two unique styles. The CTG style features a 6" rigid stem and 30" of flex capillary. The RTG style has only a 6" rigid stem. Other configurations of these two styles are also available.

In addition Cyronix also offers these same mechanical gauges with 3.3 mV/Volt transducer output, or either 4-20mA or 0 - 10 Vdc transmitter outputs. These unique gauges feature the standard Bendix style 6 pin bayonet connector and are ideal for processors looking for localized visual indication at the extruder barrel.

Current Transducers

Solid Core Current Transducers with 0-5V output. Sentry 100 Series convert a monitored AC current to a proportional DC voltage of 0 to 5 Volts.

Sentry 100 Series are used to monitor motors, pumps, conveyors, machine tools and any electrical load where an analogue representation is required over a range of currents. Current Transducer Solid Core Sentry 100 Series models are CSA approved and UL listed.

Sentry 100 Series comprises a current transformer, range selector, rectifier-filter, and scaling circuit. Each sensor has three basic user selectable ranges. The 0-5 VDC output is available on two 6-32 screw terminals.

Control Flow From Outside a Pipe - Ultrasonic Flow Switch

The Greyline DFS-II Doppler Flow Switch controls flow with a non-contacting ultrasonic sensor mounted on the outside of pipes ½ inch diameter or larger. It installs in minutes. No pipe drilling or cutting is required and there is no maintenance.

The Greyline DFS-II is designed for pump protection, valve control and flow/no-flow alarms. It is ideal for wastewater, slurries, caustics, acids and “difficult” liquids. The watertight NEMA4X switch enclosure includes a 5 amp DPDT control relay with adjustable ON and OFF set points, adjustable time delay, signal strength and relay status LED's and sensitivity adjustment. A sensor mounting kit is included with each switch.

The DFS-II is surge protected, the 20 ft. sensor cable can be extended up to 500 ft. and intrinsic safety is optional.

Cold Air Guns

Cold Air Guns use filtered compressed air (80-100 PSIG) and vortex tube technology to produce sub-zero air for industrial spot cooling. Cold air machining eliminates mist coolants and heat-related parts growth while improving tool life, parts tolerance and surface finish quality.

Cold Air Guns are used in various industrial processes, fabrication, assembly and packaging as a versatile spot cooling device. Most popular applications involve cooling during the machining of metals, plastics, wood, rubber, ceramics and other materials.

Variable Area Flow Meters from Chemline Plastics

Chemline F Series Variable Area Flow Meters are ideal for plastic piping. They provide a combination of accurate visual flow rate measurement and clear flow indication from a distance. Optional limit switches allow the units to signal a low or high flow alarm. An optional flow transmitter provides a 4-20 mA signal output. These flow meters must be installed vertically with flow upward.

Clear Visual Indication
- Large orange float is visible from a distance
- Range indicators slide along dovetail track

Easy Installation and Maintenance
- Just unscrew union nuts and tube slides out of line

Ramsey SonaTech Sonic Level Indicator

The Ramsey SonaTech sonic level indicator can accurately determine the level of bulk solids or liquids in a given bin, tank or other container. The state-of-the-art SonaTech system provides more penetrating power because it operates in the 5-30 kHz range. That means superior performance in dusty, turbulent or steamy atmospheres.

SonaTech Sonic Measuring Systems from Ramsey can accurately determine the level of bulk solids or liquids in a given bin, tank or other container.

Most of the sonic level-measuring systems in use today do not perform optimally if their sound waves are subject to interference from dust, air turbulence, steam or other environmental factors. That's because these are lower power systems with operating frequencies in the 20-50 kHz range, and lower power means diminished penetrating capability.
