MantaRay Portable Area-Velocity Flow Meter

The MantaRay Portable Area-Velocity Flow Meter measures flow in open channels, partially filled and surcharged pipes using an ultrasonic sensor. It's designed for monitoring stormwater, sewage, industrial effluent, irrigation water and natural streams. The MantaRay displays and datalogs flow rate and total flow and connects to samplers, SCADA and telemetry systems.

Calibration is simple: enter the pipe diameter or channel dimensions and the MantaRay automatically computes and displays the flow rate and total on its backlit LCD display. 
Mount the sensor at the bottom of the pipe or channel and hang the IP67 electronics case above the high water level.

Vortex Tubes For Spot Cooling From Nex Flow

Vortex tubes are devices that work on a standard compressed air supply. Air enters the vortex tube and literally splits the air flow into two parts - cold air at one end, and hot air at the other - all without any moving parts.

There are two basic physical sizes of vortex tubes used extensively in industry the small (C Series) and medium size (H Series). A larger version is available on special order. Vortex tubes can be selected by required performance in cooling for the "H" generator versions and where very cold temperatures are required "C" generators are used. However, even with "C" generators, as expected, the higher the flow rating the greater the cooling effect.

Nex Flow™ stainless steel vortex tubes use a metal (brass) generator as a standard item rather than cheap plastic for longer life and for applications in high temperature environments. (competitors would charge extra for that feature.) With virtually no moving parts, Vortex Tubes take compressed air and converts it to cold air at one end and hot air at the other. Temperature as low as -50ºF (-46ºC) can be achieved at the cold end and up to 260º F (127ºC) at the hot end.

Vortex tubes are used to cool electronic controls, machining operations, spot cooling and more.

Side-entering mixers SXT Series work efficiently where a tank is too large for convenient installation of a top-entering mixer, or where headroom is severely limited. Side Entry mixers are less expensive than top entry mixers in large tank installations because the long shafts required by extremely tall tanks are eliminated.

In the case of very large tanks, several smaller side entry mixers may be more efficient and economical than a single, larger unit.

The SXT design incorporates a trouble and maintenance free gear drive, unlike belt driven models where frequent belt adjustment or replacement is required. The SXT Series is ideal for process applications involving continuous blending, heat transfer, mass transfer, or solids suspension. It provides cost effective agitation of medium to low viscosity fluids in large storage tanks.

Adjustable Air Amplifiers

Adjustable Air Amplifiers from Nex Flow™ Air Products Corp., are a simple, inexpensive devices with virtually no maintenance that can convey fumes, of air for cooling, blowoff and drying applications. They use the "coanda effect" which entrains a large amount of surrounding air using only a small amount od compressed air. The effect is an amplification of up to 17 times the airflow or more (depending on the size) with reduced noise levels. Using only compressed air, the output flow and vacumm is easily controlled by adjusting or opening the air gap and/or inlet pressure. Either end of the air amplifier may be ducted to address all kinds of applications from bringing in fresh air into an area to removing nasty fumes. Be wary of unrealistic or unsubstantiated amplification ratios claimed by some companies.
